01.01.2011Hangover Half Marathon (2:18:55). Albany, NY. My first half! Didn't come close to dying like I thought I would - so more please!
02.06.2011Pete Sanfilippo 5 Mile Road Race (45:39:42). LaGrange, NY. PR. This is my 3rd 5 miler and I can now safely say this is my favorite running distance.
03.13.2011Ed Erichson Memorial (10 mile) Race (1:39:06). LaGrange, NY. 3rd in age group. First 10 mile race. Hills as usual - I just need to accept that I live in a very hilly region, and start working on running them well. No more complaining.
03.19.2011Daffodil Day 5K (25:47). Poughkeepsie, NY. I surprised myself by being running faster than I normally do, despite a hill that tried to take me out towards the end.
04.03.2011Greater Danbury Half Marathon (2:08:17). Danbury, CT. 2nd Half Marathon. Monstrous hills left my calves screaming after the race. Hills, hills & more hills, but 10 minute PR over 1st half marathon.
04.09.2011Race Around Briggs 7.2 Miles Race (2:08:17). Milan, NY. Race up and down hills, hills & more hills ... as usual - where are the flat courses?!
04.17.2011Kingston Kiwanis Classic 10K (53:43). Kingston, NY. 2nd in age group. My 2nd favorite running distance (5 miles is my fave).
04.30.2011Miles for Hope 5K (25:24). LaGrange, NY. Well put on race for a great cause (to raise money for breast cancer research). And where else will you find pink bagels?!
05.01.2011Spring Sprint Trail 5K (37:05). Esopus, NY. First trail run of the year and it was very challenging. Big mistake to not wear trail running shoes as my lightweight Nike Free Run+ just didn't cut it with all the rocky terrain.
05.15.2011Wa Wa Wally Waddle 5K (25:43). Poughkeepsie, NY. 2nd in age group. Packed dirt roads + finish on grass on a wet, rainy day = a ton of fun.
05.30.2011Woodstock Races 15K (89:14). Woodstock, NY. 1st in age group. Very scenic race with a few rolling hills.
