Fit Things We Love from Angie Schumacher

Fit Things is a weekly wrap-up of fitness gear & beauty products that we use and love, or have heard good things about and would love to have. We focus on products that help take care of our bodies before, during and after a workout.

This week, Angie Schumacher is sharing her Fit Things with us. Angie is a Certified Personal Trainer and Boot Camp Instructor in Colorado, as well as author of The Fat Blasting Boot Camp Program and a kick ass blog, www.fatburningtips4women.com.
    Workout Accessories
  • AdidasTo get in a good workout, one needs a good pair of shoes. I cannot say enough about my Adidas! I bought my first pair about 4 years ago and will never go to another brand. I have never had a pair of workout shoes this comfortable. Right now I even have a pair that I work out in and a pair that I train others in, just because of the different needs for them.

I cannot usually find many varieties here in town, so I will get my shoes at Zappos.com (it's where I get a lot of my shoes). Great service, free shipping and free returns. Can't beat that!

  • Ipod ShuffleNext, I need to make sure I have my Ipod Shuffle. I know some people like to have the bigger ones that hold movies and tons and tons of music, but not I! First off, I am not watching movies while I am working out, so why would I need a bigger one and I only workout for 30 minutes or less, so this holds just enough variety for me to get through my workout. Plus is small and doesn't have to become a part of my arm, instead I just clip it to my shorts and hardly even notice it's there!

  • Workout GlovesNow if you are a serious-crazy-lifting-workout-person like I am and have a tendency to get callouses on the hands, then you will definitely need a pair of workout gloves. My very first and only pair so far have been a pair of Harbinger Workout Gloves. I love that they are very lightweight and easy to slip on and off. Some have all sorts of straps and stuff, but I prefer these simple ones. As long as they protect my hands and help with my grip, these will be my gloves of choice until they are worn and I have to throw them away.
  • Pre or Post Workout Drink

  • No workout is complete without some sort of workout supplement. My one and all-time favorite forIMG00079 muscle recovery and helping to aid in building lean muscle tissue is my Prograde Workout. Not only does this taste good, but I can honestly tell a difference just by taking it right before every workout! It has just the right amount of carb to protein ratio that not a lot of other post workout drinks have, which ensures I am able to get my best workout every time.

So there you have it. None of my workouts would be complete without any of these things! You can find more great tips about fitness at my blog, www.fatburningtips4women.com.
