There are literally thousands of iPod cases out there, but when it comes to us heavy gym goers, not just anything will do! I like DLO Action Jacket for the iPod nano (1st and 2nd generation) because it provides full gym protection. It completely surrounds the nano to protect it from dirt, sweat and the elements. Plus the Action Jacket lets you switch between a belt clip and armband. It's available at CircuitCity for $29.95 or directly from DLo for $29.99.

Speaking of DLo, check out their DLo At the Gym Store where they have cases with armbands for iPod nanos 1st and 2nd generation, iPod shuffle, Microsoft Zune, Zen Vision, Zen Micro and Samsung mp3 players.

Oh how I hate the tangled mess of headphone wires. I like the solution by Cordster. It's completely removable since it snaps on with a velcro-like fastner and it's only $4.95 each. Sure tangled cords are more of a slight annoyance than a major pain, but it still makes me scream! Oh and Cordster can work on just about anything (not just iPods) that has a 2.6 x 1.4 inch surface.

We are also big fans of the ActiveSport Lite Armband for iPod Nanos by Speck Products, which is almost perfect with it's detachable armband. It costs $29.95, but it's not quite 100% perfect since it doesn't come with a clip like the DLO Action Jacket.

But we have a soft spot in our hearts for Speck Products, because they also gave us this sneaker inspired Canvas Sport iPod case for the 2nd gen nano, $7.00 on sale. Tell me that's not super gym cute!
