Music: Hip Hop || Workout: Weights.
The last hip hop workout playlist was more than a month ago - oh the horror! Well, that situation has been remedied! I've been hitting the weights more often over the past few weeks - and lamenting the horrible music of my Tuesday morning Group Power class - so I knew it was time to get back to my favorite type of music (well 2nd favorite - nothing beats reggae). One thing you should know is that the language on quite a few of these songs is ... graphic ... racy. Sorry, it can't always be PC. The next thing you need to know is that from beginning to end - this playlist is fiyah! My friend turned me on to British rapper Wretch 32, and Childish Gambino (hate the name though) - straight out of NYU - dude is a comedian, writer (for 30 Rock & The Daily Show) + actor (in Community on NBC) - does this guy ever sleep - or is it like 50 Cent says, "sleep is broke people." Regardless, they have 2 of my favorite songs on this playlist, along side the usual cast of heavy hitters like Jay-Z, Kanye, Lil Wayne & Drake.
