Music: Pop || Workout: Running.
Having surgery a few weeks ago put a damper on the workouts, and the motivation. BUT that can't last forever, and I'm back on the attack. This running playlist is a compilation of some pop-ish type songs that are driving me crazy right now - in a good way of course! A little Estelle, some Nicki Minaj and a hint of Sean Paul - oooh wee!!! These songs helped motivvate me to get off my butt - starting slowly of course, per doctor's orders - and I hope it'll do the same for you.

It's been a week for upbeat hip-hop tunes, which resulted in this here running playlist with some of my favorite tunes of late. I LOVE that Estelle put Freak (feat Kardinal Offishall) back on her new album - a great excuse for me to start adding it to the workout playlists again. Another song that I can't get enough of is Robot (Trip Lee). Check out the lyrics and it'll be obvious what he's talking about - why he was a robot & what changed him - but I find we are all robots these days for a lot of things ... being connected to iPhones, Twitter, Facebook - all kinds of craziness, instead of being more connected to the World in which we live, and the people we inhabit it with, like family & friends (in real life) ... but I'm not here to preach to you - just to share with you some crazy good tunes, and hopefully, help motivate you to work it on out!

Greetings Earthlings. Ya know, when I was in grad school, I would go home for lunch & watch Stark Trek ... every single day of the week! Yup, that's right, I heart Star Trek! And that has nothing to do with today's workout playlist - just something I was thinking about - so unto the workout muzic. These are a few songs that have been rocking the old iPod lately, especially when a weights workout is on the agenda ... very explicit lyrics to some songs - so let's not blast this one while at work please. No Church in the Wild (Kanye & Jay-Z) is one of my faves, along with Shot Caller (French Montana) and Cases (Yo Gotti) - which is just catchy.

Let me tell you - this workout playlist will get things heated QUICK! I took it on the stationary bike at the gym the other day, and I was flying with the fast songs, and my legs were burning with the slower ones. If you want to go HARD - then you better listen to the tunes below! My favorite song on this is When I Walk (Pitchmasterzz) and Rock Hypnotic (Scope DJ) - which is on way too many playlists, but I'm still not tired of hearing it yet.
