You all should know by now that I love my reggae (being from Jamaica), and I also love house/ electronic music. Combine the two, do it well, and I will play your songs forever! That's why I can't stop playing Major Lazer's album, Guns Don't Kill People ... Lazers Do. These songs are great to workout to, and one of my faves is When You Hear the Bassline. Check it out below ... and like the song says, "when you hear the bassline, gyal don't joke around." I mean, get to working out - the song of course, says to do something else. On Sunday I decided to post my Weekly Workout Plan. It's kind of like a warm up to my August Workout Challenge of working out for 31 days straight. So I had a plan (step class followed by a group power class), and at 8AM on Monday morning, I was at the gym for the scheduled Step class. It totally kicked my butt, and I thought about quitting and not doing the next class. If it wasn't for the fact that I had written down my workout plan/ goals for this week, I probably would have skipped it. But I went! And the sense of completion plus scoring a minor victory early on a Monday really helped set the tone for the rest of the day. Here's hoping you have a great workout today and win some of those mental battles!!
