Yesterday I had my first run since I tore a ligament in my left knee. It was only 3.1 miles, but I felt like I wasn't going to make it. Yesterday I also realized that the running part of this week's workout schedule looks like the 1st week of Hal Higdon's (Novice) 1/2 marathon training guide. So I just decided to follow along with it - doesn't hurt that there's a little half marathon in Vegas on Dec. 5th that some of my favorite bloggers are going to be at. No way I'm committing ... but it would be nice to go, so I'll keep it in the back of my mind. So if that's the BIG goal - then there have to be smaller goals to make that step. 5K in August, 5K and 8 Miler in September, 5K and 5 miler in October. I'm so excited - how do you get excited about working out?!
